What is the best temperature for sleeping?
I did some research and realized that the majority of articles I found said that the ideal sleeping temperature for adults is somewhere between 65 and 72 degrees fahrenheit.
Disclaimer…I am not a medical professional or sleep researcher. I was curious about the question of what is the best temperature for sleeping and did my own research.
I recommend you set the temperature at whatever is best for you and your family, however, some studies have shown that lowering the temperature in your bedroom is advantageous to quality sleep. There is a correlation between room temperature and sleep quality.
While it is good to lower your bedroom temperature for sleeping, setting your thermostat too low could be problematic.
There are many options for lowering your body temperature for better sleep. You could use cooling mats, cooling blankets, using cooler pajamas, turning on fans, closing registers, and installing zoning so you don’t change the temperature in your home too much.
